๐ŸŽ“ Oh, the Places You'll Go! โ€” V.P.K Graduation Season

Hello friends!

Itโ€™s that magical time of year again at The Melbourne Preschool โ€”itโ€™s almost VPK Graduation Season! ๐ŸŽ‰

Graduation marks the culmination of a full year of hard work, exploration, and discovery. Our students have blossomed across so many subjects: from language and letters (in both English and Spanish!) to art, math, geography, history, science, weather, and seasons. Each lesson has built the foundation for the next exciting chapter โ€” kindergarten!

At The Melbourne Preschool, we believe that the best way for young children to showcase their learning is through song. Research shows that singing supports memory, language acquisition, and learning for preschoolers. According to a study published in Frontiers in Psychology (2020), singing helps children better encode and retrieve information and strengthens early language skills. Another study from The Journal of Research in Childhood Education found that music-based instruction significantly improved preschoolersโ€™ literacy and comprehension abilities. ๐ŸŽต In short: when kids sing, they donโ€™t just learn and they remember - they also have fun! And that is what Graduation is all about!

Each year, we pick a fun theme for our VPK show. In past years, weโ€™ve celebrated with:

  • ๐ŸŒด Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

  • ๐ŸŒˆ Reading Rainbow

  • ๐ŸŽฌ Hollywood Red Carpet

  • โœˆ๏ธ Adventure Awaits

  • ๐Ÿš€ Out Of This World

This year, weโ€™re thrilled to announce our theme:
Dr. Seussโ€™s beloved classic โ€” Oh, the Places Youโ€™ll Go! ๐ŸŽˆ

Our VPK students will perform a heartwarming musical show for their families and friends, dressed proudly in their caps and gowns. It all happens on the last day of VPK, and we warmly invite families to come and celebrate this huge milestone with us.

We are so proud of our graduates and all they have accomplished- and we can't wait to see all the wonderful places theyโ€™ll go!

Congratulations, The Melbourne Preschool Class of 2025! ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ’›

Toodleoo!
