Flexible Part-Time Preschool: Big Benefits with Just the Right Fit

Hello friends!

At The Melbourne Preschool, we know that no two families (and no two schedules) are the same. That’s why this year we’re excited to introduce expanded flexible part-time care options, designed to support modern families while still giving children everything they love about preschool.

More Choice, More Flexibility

We’re excited to now offer 2-day and 3-day part-time preschool programs, perfect for families who don’t need full-time care but still want their child to enjoy the magic of a preschool environment. Whether you work part-time, have family support during the week, or simply value balance, these new options give you flexibility without compromising quality.

And because mornings can be hectic (we get it!), we’re also extending our hours to open at 6:00am. We know many of our families start each day bright and early, like our parents who work in healthcare, emergency services, manufacturing, hospitality, and other essential roles where early shifts are the norm. Our goal is to ease the stress of early mornings by providing a safe, welcoming place for children, so parents can head to work knowing their child’s day is off to a calm, caring start. Stay tuned for our 6am start!

Preschool Benefits, Without the Full-Time Price Tag

One of the biggest reasons families choose part-time care is value. Our flexible programs allow children to:

  • Build friendships and social confidence

  • Participate in engaging, play-based learning activities

  • Experience structured routines that prepare them for school

All of this—without the cost of full-time tuition. It’s a smart, affordable way for children to learn, grow, and belong!

Why Even Part-Time Preschool Makes a Big Difference

Research consistently shows that early childhood education—yes, even part-time—has powerful benefits for children’s social and emotional development. According to research highlighted by the American Academy of Pediatrics, high-quality early learning environments help children develop:

  • Strong social skills through peer interaction

  • Emotional regulation and independence

  • Early communication and problem-solving abilities

These benefits don’t require five days a week. Meaningful interaction, guided play, and supportive educators—even just a few days per week—can have a lasting positive impact.

The Best of Both Worlds

Our new flexible care options are all about balance:

  • For children: fun, friendship, learning, and confidence

  • For parents: flexibility, affordability, and peace of mind

We can’t wait for families to explore these new programs and find the option that fits just right. Be sure to review our updated tuition sheet, and as always, our team is here to answer any questions.

Because preschool should work for your family—and still be a whole lot of fun!

Toodleoo!
